Power Elite are never Migrants

Really interested in the Sindhi mercantile diaspora in HK/SE Asia. Any suggestions? The Gujaratis, Tamils and Punjabis are pretty well covered in academic literature. The Bangladeshi diaspora too has a rich tradition, increasingly covered in scholarly work. The Delhi Academic Circuit is pretty ambivalent. The power elite never has to be migrants, either internal or transnational I guess.
