Global Migrant Festival 2020

It will be an honor to present on a panel titled:

‘In Their Words: Migrant Narratives and Voices’ at the Global Migrant Festival, Singapore next month on

‘Writing Migration (S)Histories: The Journey from Erasure to the Digital Archive‘

I lot of my book on the Invisible Gulf is premised on this conceptual architecture. Happy to have a prestigious forum to share.

Thank you very much Theophi Kwek for the gracious opportunity!

There is a reason why I write, it is the reason why I live. Epistemic Agency is vital for survival. My blog has 25k hits now and after 10 years of scribbling field notes across three regions of Asia from the alleyways ethnographically when before I was aware of the term.

The website has been the entrepreneurial repository of ideas and photos which has given me so many opportunities for media appearances and paid gigs (yay!).

A book on the way and probably a PhD when I find an admit. I do not take no for an answer and keep working away.

I will keep writing narratives from the margins of society and the footnotes of history. Erasures and silences are criminal.

Thank you for your support!

I am just getting warmed up after a decade of writing professionally.
