Through the Highways of Globalization

Even after a decade and half as a environmental engineer, a fresh perspective regarding the latest ESG trends especially when looked at from the board lens is hugely generative. As impact practitioners, we look at the asset scale issues, yet ESG is today a board level matter with dedicated committees. The climate zeitgeist is a society as a whole challenge, hence transition finance, green washing, ISSB and carbon markets are keywords which attract attention as today showed.
This is my second ESG workshop which the fabulous Eco-Business team has delivered, albeit online. Hope to be in one of their in person sessions in Singapore soon.
Thank you so much the training team for the learning!

Loved Dr Kooria’s talk at KCL on Matrilineal Islam.
There cannot be a creolisation without de- creolisation in the words of Prof Kabir.
As an observer of the Indian Ocean based in Malaysia, creole is a way of life as it is a contact zone, just look at a Mamak restaurant, where Roti Canai rules.
It is not everyday that a refinery ESIA that one worked nine years back gets officially inaugurated by His Majesty The Sultan of Oman and Kuwaiti Prime Minister. DRPIC or Duqm Refinery remains one of the biggest projects of my career. I remember working with Mr. Prabhu, Sanjeev Sir, Nashwa Madam and the legendary Dr Hussam of HMR Consultants in two different stints during the main regulatory ESIA and the update.
Oman 🇴🇲 ❤️
Sustainability as is entrepreneurship a process and an outcome; both are conjoined at the hip for the transition era.
Better than Pathan any day. The BMKJ hyperbole is up there, but the action sequences are great.
The film for the saffron era.

At Dr Diptendu Sarkar’s book launch at the North South Initiative today in KL.

Cold-Slay.
Sheer magic and joy where FDWs from Philippines and Indonesia, shout ‘Chris, I love you’ and one can be an alien anywhere. The progressive DEI messaging was a delight, as in Chris Martin’s words, Music and Beer makes the world a better place. Coldplay has a solid sustainability play book which is a case study which should be used in training’s. Coldplay supports Client Earth’s strategic litigation. Need i say more.
