The gulf migration story needs to be contextualised, with a labor history perspective. The point which needs to be considered is why haven’t migrants unskilled to meet the change, rather than bank on a perennial job in the Gulf?
The writing has been on the wall for a decade post Arab Spring, Nationalisation programs, 2014 oil crash etc.
