There are three buckets in any knowledge sector work i.e. Subject Matter Expertise, Program Delivery Expertise and Rain Making. If one brings in revenue and solves vexed problems, then the market will hire you. Stop blaming neoliberal capitalism, and ‘upgrade’.

Feedback Loop.
There are two ways to process feedback, one to sulk, the other to treat it as radical candor and grow with it.

Samosa in Singapura
An SGD 10 Samosa as tapas, at a tony fine dining place, made me remember samosa pav in Navi Mumbai, outside Vashi Station.
Moral Imperative.
Activists are moral entrepreneurs. An ability to imagine a fairer world needs tremendous guts where is no apparently apt founder market fit in place.
Political Valency.
In this woke era, everything has a political valency hence the line between business, activists, and investors as the climate era.
The line is blurred.
Aspirations.
I think the aspirations which one has in terms of an icon when we are in school shape our careers or intellectual inclinations.
Mine was Gurudeb Prof Amartya Sen, his Idea of Justice and the notion of plural identities left a mark on my college self.
Touchpoints.
Be Useful. There are plenty of places to impact lives (and Twitter is not the place). Talk to people in the neighborhood, there will be causes, co-create possibilities of meaning.
Scaling Up Ideas
ideas can be used for plenty of ends from articles to venture creation as entrepreneurship and activism is a mode of building and transformation
Ramadan Notes
I grew up and lived in Masqat & Dubayy next to four Masjids and Holy Month of Ramadan was a touchpoint for tradition in the era of Gulf Futurism. The Azaan for Sahri to the call for Iftar was a time for community. Also, the time for Haleem from Karachi Darbar in Al Khuwair in Masqat and Karama in Dubayy.
Gig Rework
Every employee nowadays is a few days away from being ‘giged’, or ‘graduated’, particularly the person who is making the decision, as workflows in packages such as data, across screens to numerous geographies. The nature of ‘re-working’ will differ in each place.
