Happy to join in on a Sunday morning for a Malaysian NGO consultation for the ASEAN Forum on Migrant Labour. It was great to meet grassroots community leaders from Indonesia, and Philippines in Malaysia and prominent civil society actors from Malaysia and Singapore.

Many thanks to my mentor Pak Adrian Pereira for the invitation, second year in a row. It was an intense dialogue for hours on all aspects of ASEAN Migration Governance from a global from below lens.

The ability to discuss ideas for labour governance at a regional forum, is itself a success for ASEAN, the Asian Miracle in the words of Dean Kishore.

I was also presented a publication by the North South Initiative on their research with the platform worker community in Malaysia, which my dear friend Aaron has worked on.

Learning happens around the heroes of Real Migration. The h-index rings pale sometimes.
